Drivers door won’t open

I replaced my drivers side door lock actuator and everything went silky smooth. Lock button worked. Key Fob worked. Then I close the door. Lock it. Unlock it with key fob. All good, until I pull in the handle. No dice. I try the handle from the inside. Nothing. I know I reconnected everything. Is it possible I knocked something loose on the latch? Now how do I get the damn thing open?

oh sorry to hear that.. i know that sucks. I once had a Honda accord that had a rear door just won't open anymore and it sucks big time.. i know that feeling.

 

I’ve heard of a few times when people did a speaker replacement and had the door panel off, there’s a clip to the linkage that needs to be snapped into place. Go in and re-check all your work.

 

I didn’t think about that. I thought he just couldn’t open it from the outside, somebody had this problem recently, and found the clip not attached. I don’t know how he opened the door to get to it though.

can you open the door from the outside? if so, then take the door panel off and make sure that the cable to the door handle is properly snapped into its little slot on the door panel. also make sure that the cable is snapped into the door latch inside the door.

if you cannot open the door from the outside, then you will have to take it to the dealer. i have no idea how you would get it open if this is the case.

 

Just get another truck.
