Drive Pulse and Trips in Toyota App

I just got my 2023 Tundra back after it was stolen and damaged in January. I have noticed that my Drive Pulse & Trips is now on a 24 hour delay and wondering if I can remedy this somehow? This is the feature we used to lead police to there whereabouts the morning of the theft as it was in real time.
Coud it be as simple as deleting app and reinstalling? Everything else works fine on it.

Don't think it would hurt anything by trying a reinstall of the app.
What are the circumstances behind the theft? How did they steal it?

 

They broke in through rear passenger window and then got into front. They cracked open the compartment below steering column and plugged in a little computer that simply started the vehicle. I heard the alarm go off briefly and ran outside as they were slowly driving away. This was at 5:30 in the morning. I called 911 and we were able to keep telling the police where they were using the app. The police blocked them in on a sideroad outside of town. They jumped out of the truck and into the stolen Jag and as they tried to go around the truck they hit the passenger door folding it open back on itself and damaging front passenger side fender. Also damaged the roof when they ripped off antenna thinking the GPS tracker was in there. Attached are some pics

 

Pics like this make me wish the vehicle was alive like the movie "Christine" .. no worries though, Karma is real.

 

Through virtual courtrooms I have been able to track their court cases and watch in real time. They charged the 3 dorks with 7 counts of theft over $5000 so likely going to do a bit of time.

 

Sorry about your truck, but glad you got it back and its repairable. As for the app, the drive-pulse in mine has always had a 24 hr delay since new in 2022. I didn't know that it was not that way for everyone. I don't really use it much for that reason.

it shows the current location at the top, that is on time, but the trips below that are 24 hrs behind

 

Ya it's pointless being that far behind. We were literally able to keep hitting refresh the morning of the theft and it would update immediately. Weird.

 

That's a bummer about your truck man, glad the app helped them find it. Not sure if it's a thing in Canada or if it even applies in this situation but look into a diminished value claim now that your truck has been damaged and fixed. I can say that the drive pulse/trips in my app haven't shown up until the next day since I first got the truck.

 

I think an Air Tag would be simpler (you also don't give all your data to Toyota/insurance companies). You can hide it, or there are ways to remove the speaker so it can't make an audible sound when tracking someone.

Just a thought.
