Hello all! Hope someone here has ran into this issue and possibly have some ideas. I’ve searched the forums and found some tips, but unfortunately still have the issue. I have a 2013 Crewmax SR5 with Info, Select, Setup, and Sonar on the Drive Monitor Switch. Unfortunately only the sonar button does anything. Here’s what I’ve done so far.

I removed the switch, took it apart and verified contacts are in working order. Perhaps overkill, but ya know.. I verified I have all 8 wires at the switch AND that all wires exist at the junction under the steering column. I verified with the meter that I am getting good signal when pushing the buttons (Info, Select, & Setup) from the switch all the way through the junction plug to the next set of wires. I have also verified that the display on the dash (the one not in the gauge cluster) has options to show avg mpg, instant mpg, etc. via flashlight test. The temperature is at least set to Fahrenheit and not Celsius, so that’s a plus for me!

What I have NOT done is get crazy enough to check the wiring all the way up to the display because I assume that means removing the dash and I have no idea where to start.

I can’t change the temp to show Celsius (again not needed for me) and can’t flip through avg and instant MPG, but don’t really care much anyway as I bought a truck on purpose and knew what I was getting into! It’s more the principal that something that should work doesn’t and I want it to work even if I won’t use it.

So..any ideas? Could the ECU have lost its programming for allowing the functions to respond to the buttons? Am I looking at removing the dash if I really want to get it working? Any thoughts or advice welcomed!!
