Some crushing news out of the Team 140 garage - found some water in cylinder 8 during pre-race inspection Saturday morning. Full tear down, replacement of head gasket, head stud, intake manifold only to still have water present after rebuild. Tore it back down and found a crack in the block in cylinder 8. Got a little too rowdy in Parker 3 weeks ago - For the first time, we will have to sit out a race waiting on the new engine.

The old 460 with iron block iron heads served a long and prosperous life for the team - we launched at the start line 104 times and made it down the track and back on the trailer every damn time. Anyone that knows about racing or watches any of these races, understands that’s one hell of an achievement and one we are very proud of.

Still tons of awesome racing to watch and we still plan to be in the pits Thursday-Sunday with some other flat bottom race boats on display. Come check them out and maybe buy one!

Hope everyone has a great Halloween.

Here is the update - when you are as BA as we are and show up with no boat; people talk

A blown Cole flat is here looking for a driver so we are operating the 916 boat “Funky Cole Madina” this weekend. Lots of dialing to do - don’t even know what class we will run but it’s going to be a fun weekend.

No racing - boat was missing some safety items so it was a “thanks but no thanks.”

We are setup by the finish line if anyone wants to stop by for an adult beverage.

Pretty darn cool deal here Adam! I’m glad you love it as mush as I do and I couldn’t do it without you! Current situation in the boat house, we flipped the 140 to do some proper bottom work in preparation for the new mil going in the boat next season! Hopefully soon we can start posting up some pics of that.

I heard the boat races in marble falls, tx this year while at hidden falls adventure park. I'd ride to the top of a hill, listen to the races, next hill and listen... but the cool part was showing up friday afternoon cause i saw lots of raceboats on trailers. We left early cause i broke my atv, but i was looking forward to wandering around the pits...?ramps?

For sure. Never thought that was a thing out here. Top fuel showed up which was louder than the 4 wheeler i was riding.

This thread is epic. We go to the boat races in Marble Falls, TX every year and it’s insane every year. Been going to NHRA for 20+yrs and 330mph in a dragster is cool but the top fuelers in a boat? That’s Blue Angel sized balls right there.

What CI are you limited to? I thought I read someplace 470 or 500 ci.

Your boats are rather impressive to say the least. Great team you have working with ya.
