I was on crutchfield looking around and trying to find a normal double din head unit with android auto and a volume knob. I find I can never touch the screen as hard or soft as needed and just much prefer a volume knob to turn down the music or get to menus.

Are there any reputable companies out there other than BOSS that make this? I don't want some massive screen, just a normal screen that fits in the double din opening. Are there any other sites to look at to breakdown my options or is crutchfield the best?

I assume if I don't have JBL installed, I can't upgrade to that head unit. I have a kenwood now when I bought the truck, but hoping to find one with a knob.

I replaced the stock radio in my 2008 Tundra earlier this year. I hear you about having a real volume knob. I hated having to poke around while driving to hit capacitive buttons for volume on other radios. I went with a Joying Android radio (they aren't Kenwood or Pioneer), but are pretty big in Android based radios. This one Joying JY-TQ167N4G-B https://a.co/d/fHC22tn It does have a 10" screen, but it looks fairly stock since it has a bezel around it that makes the shape conform to the dash. The physical volume knob is on the left side so it is an easy reach. I left a thorough review on the Amazon page for it (likes and dislikes). I sent Joying a picture of the back of my stock radio after I bought it and they sent out the harnesses so I just plugged it in.
My phone tells me that Android Auto is available although I have SIM card in the radio so I don't use Android Auto or have to turn on a wifi hotspot.

I like that it looks a little stock, I'll check this out as well. I know I sound old, but I find myself looking more and more at the radio when I'm just trying to find a preset station, I could easily do this with my old radios with the tactile feel buttons.
