Has anyone attempted to remove this piece from there door panel? I've been changing up my interior lately but these pieces are melted onto the panel and I'm hesitant about removal because my interior guy I go to said he doesnt want to be the one to remove it because hes not confident we could get it re installed correctly. So my question is has anyone done this and if so how did you get it back on and does it still look good?

I was going to do the same thing with mine, but I was afraid that if I took them apart I would not be able to put them back. I think at this point is if I do I will just have to use epoxy to glue them back to hold. Not sure if this helps you.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
You might try a wood burning kit with a soldering iron that you can control the temp on and has a set of different tips. Slowly re-melt the melted tabs back into a pointed shape such that you can pull the piece off. Once you put it back and melt the tab back down, you can add a piece of metal screen (a little bigger than the tab) and melt it into the plastic...like a reinforced patch. If you need more plastic, you should be able to use black zip ties.

Here's a couple vids as examples.
