Drivers door mechanism started to stick and is now STUCK. Actuator works, but I now have a door the will not open. I have read through the forums and tried several methods to get the door open. If I could get the door open I could replace the defective parts, but since it wont open, I can't get the door panel off, so on and so forth.

Any help to get this door open would be greatly appreciated.

Last time I saw this problem, I suggested check with a body shop. The owner did and it was resolved. Was a little costly though, I wanna say about $700:eek:.

I read that thread and was hoping to avoid that. Maybe someone has a work around.

I've got no workaround. I've only seen it happen when someone makes the unfortunate mistake of using aftermarket latches. I posted the only workarounds/methods I know in that thread referenced, I believe. i.e. pushing in on the door from outside to relieve pressure on the latch and using the outside and even inside handle, Popping off the interior latch/handle cover and pulling the bars, maybe wedging the outer seal with the window up and manually trying to jimmy the latch.
