My ‘05 Tundra Limited is having an issue with the front / passenger door lock. When I hit the lock/unlock button on the drivers door, they all work except the front/passenger door lock. Exactly what part or parts are inside the door panel that I’ll need to replace?

Typically that's handled by a lock solenoid which you may be able to buy separately. I'd need to look.

That said, if you're sitting in the truck and you use your key fob, does it lock with the keyfob? What about if you tap the lock button on the driver door? I'm simply trying to confirm if this is a driver control issue, an doorS control issue, or if it's happening with all methods to lock the door.

Also, I would try locking the doors with the passenger door open using all three methods again, just in case there's a wire getting pinched. @CC80guy had similar we diagnosed recently. Wire was shorted somewhere in the flexible door boot.

Sitting in the driver’s seat, the key fob activates all the locks , except the front/passenger door. Also the lock button on driver’s door activates all locks except front/passenger door. With the front/passenger door wide open, neither the fob or driver’s door control works on the front/passenger door lock. In the past year, the front/passenger door activated correctly, intermittently. Sometimes locked or unlocked, sometimes didn’t, now there is no movement at all . I should add, if any of the four doors are open when I use the fob to lock, I just get a continuous beeeeeeeeep , with no lock activating.

I pulled a random 2005 V8 DC Limited VIN from the internet to find exploded parts for your truck. I came up with the image below, and I see the door lock actuator - the actual electronic plunger that fires off to pull the lock lever - is sold separately. The part for the RH (right hand/passenger) side is: 69110-06010 and the diagram makes it look like there's only one bolt holding it in, and I'm sure it's wired with either a 2-wire or 3-wire snap on/off harness.

PS - I would personally go OEM on this one, general rule of thumb with electronics; get OEM, it'll last another 20, get aftermarket, you may get a couple years out of it. This has been the experience with others on door locks and window motors.
This is the best price I could find online because it's free shipping and no tax: https://autoparts.serratoyota.com/products/product/actuator-assy-fr-do-6911006010

Thanks for the part search & info. I’ll be procuring the replacement part from the local dealer, oem seems to be the wise decision.
