Door handle issues

Has anyone else experienced issues with door handles failing to return closed? I recently started having this problem with my drivers side door and mentioned it at my last service. They were able to duplicate the problem, but ask for almost $600 for further T/S and repair. Mine is a 2014 with 56K.

 

Yeah, mines been sticking recently. It usually happens when I’m offroad. I just pull the handle and hose it down and clean out some of the dirt stuck in there.

 

Toyota issued a service bulletin on the driver door handle failing to return. I got one in the mail that said to take truck in for free repair. This was at least 1-2 years ago though. Maybe it will help you negotiate with your dealer though.
