Dome lights

Hey! Brand new to the forum, just bought a 21 tundra SX, noticed today that even with the light switch on “door”, my interior dome lights won’t come on when the driver door opens, but they still come on when the other doors open. Wondering if this is normal or if there may be a short somewhere or bad sensor. Thanks!

 

If the other 3 doors work when you open them, the drivers door should as well. I assume that you closed and reopened it? Did you pull on the switch in the door jamb to see if it was stuck? I have never seen one of the door switches go bad.

 

Dome light in my 07 comes on if any door is opened. My first check would be the switch in the drivers door jam. Maybe it s not working.

 

I haven’t checked the switch yet but will first thing after work! Thanks!

Take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.
