Just for giggles this weekend I was searching the auto ads for used Tundras. I found a few 2018 -2021's with super low miles ( <7,000 with some as low as 600 miles) Are these unicorns an older person purchased or were they dealer demos , were they leased trucks or does Toyota do buy backs on lemons and resell them. I believe that with Ford as an example when they do a buy back you have to arrange with a dealer to take it from you and then that dealer can do with it what they want. Some of them end up for sale again and are not disclosed that they were buy backs.

I am not sure that the lemon buyback disclosure is true in every state but IDK? The article above mentions that sometimes the defect is minor or something the customer didn't notice like a wiper switch. Most lemon laws give the manufacturer 4 attempts to repair an issue before it can be lemoned. A minor issue like a switch is going to be easily repaired. I know with Ford you have to jump through major hoops and get an attorney to get a buyback and it has to be a huge issue that is not repairable.

Each state has their own variation on the lemon laws for sure
