Does the 2022 tundra have digital key?

I know that the 22 tundra has has remote start but does it have digital key?

 

If you mean phone as a key then no.

 

You might have to elaborate on what exactly you mean by "digital key"

 

Yeah sorry. I was reading somewhere but I can’t find it. Ow that the tundra was getting digital key. So what I mean by that is that the key fob is not needed to drive the truck. The phone would act as the key fob. I can’t find it anywhere now though. Maybe it’s something that is coming? I was hoping someone on this forum might have seen the same thing.

 

The key is the key fob. They are not two seperate pieces. The physical key is stored inside the fob for emergencies.

You can enter, start and drive the truck without taking the key out of your pocket if that's what you mean?

 

Phone let’s you unlock and start but once in the vehicle my experience is that you still need the fob to drive away. I think mine prompted me to touch the fob to the start button before shifting to D
