    Hi,
New to the forum, but not Toyotas having owned 7 trucks and 5 cars over the years. Started with a ‘87 One Ton Truck to a 2006 Tundra 4.7 and now a 2020 Tundra.
It’s a 2020 DC Limited TRD Off Road with tow package, bought new.
In terms of transmission coolers, it has the single tube that they consider a trans cooler on the window sticker. I need to upgrade as I tow my 5500-6000 pound trailer on multi month trips, sometimes in the mountains. I would like to use Toyota parts for obvious reasons.
Does the Gen2.0 standard factory trans cooler fit my 2020?
And would the existing lines for the current one bolt right up?

Not sure about the cooler fitment part of the question, but you don't have existing lines or a single tube cooler. I think you might be mistaking the factory power steering fluid cooler (the finned tube) for a transmission cooler. You will need to purchase the factory transmission cooler thermostat that pre-2019 trucks were fitted with, and from there you can decide if you want to run the factory hard lines to the front of the truck, or just use rubber fuel line.

I researched this a ton when I first had my 2019.

it won’t work, they adjusted the timing of the transmission and use slightly different transmission fluid to help cool it down some, but temps run hot. The cooler that you see on your ad for the truck is a built-in intercooler with the radiator. Temps will continue to climb and get very hot especially if you live in a warm climate or to heavy amounts.

they did in fact remove the transmission cooler for any vehicle that was 2019 to 2021. Genuine Transmision coolers is what this form typically recommends and I also have on my rig and installed recently. I went from temperatures of being 225 to 230 now down to have nothing higher than 190. he also uses mostly OEM parts and it’s a fantastic product. you can install yourself, but I would highly recommend having a transmission shop doing it for you as they have all the tools and that’s what I did and I’m loving it ever since.

Also it comes with a free gauge tool.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate the explanation that it’s in the radiator.
Makes this on the original sticker make more sense. I will be reaching out to a local transmission shop. Also thanks for setting me straight in the power steering cooler!

No problem! PM me if you have any questions and I will try and help!

There are a lot of coolers out there, but honestly the genuine cooler is more expansive cause it’s most like OEM. Check out the reviews.
