I've had my 2008 RCSB for about 2 years now, and today was the first day i had some weight in the bed, i was hauling away some scrap wood to the dumper and immediately noticed that the ride was better. Since i lifted with 5100s on the highest setting the ride was a little firm, but having weight in the back, i'm guessing 400lbs total, and a full tank of gas, the truck felt really good. Wasn't as stiff, and seems to drive more balanced.

    Is it just me?

not just you. that's to be expected in a truck. you have some weight in the back to stabilize things.

Yes, it will definitely make it smoother. Just got back from a 1600 mile round trip, with a lot of weight in back (luggage for 4, some food, water, beer, etc) . Very, very smooth compared to how it rides when empty.

Almost Makes we want to leave some sandbags back there year round lol

Nice, so after this experience i went out and bought another camper shell and will build a sleeping platform in the back. The weight should be enough to make it ride like an SUV. I'll miss the truck look though, with the cap on, it looks like a 2 door sequoia.
