Does anyone use Bilstein 5100's at the lowest setting with OME springs for lift? This is a very common setup on Tacoma's but I haven't seen it being used on tundras.

The minimum perch level is .87 lift - so adding a 2.5" OME lift spring puts you way beyond what the 5100 was designed for (which is a 2.27" max lift on top perch) - the shocks would be over 1" extended - reaching a 3.37" lift - which will limit your down-travel, require control arms, etc.

The Tacoma 5100 shocks actually have a 0" perch setting - so its ideal for lift Coils - whereas the Tundra 5100 shocks do not have that 0" setting - instead .87" lift is the lowest possible perch setting for Tundra 5100's. So that is probably why its not popular to do that combo on Tundras.

Old thread but I have pix for others that may search this topic.

I don’t recommend this combination of Bilstein and OME. I ran it for 10 days and replaced it with Icon. First, it was advertised at 2.5 inch in front. It was over 4 inches. That is too much. The UCAs were at terrible angles as were the CV joints even with a diff drop. It drove terrible even when the alignment numbers were all green.
