Every time I go to the dealership, they fail to put the screws back into my front lower valence where it meets the front skid plate. I’ve put my own nuts and bolts in before, but the dealership takes them off and fails to replace them. I’m down to 1 of 3 little white plastic inserts with a screw… I’ve searched and can’t find the exact Toyota part number so that I can get more (make the dealership give me more). Is anyone familiar with these?IMG_3550.jpg IMG_3547.jpg

I lost one as well (plastic insert), pried one out and took it to the parts department at our local Toyota dealer. He instantly recognized it, I bought half a dozen and have them in stock in my spare parts. Bought a couple of the thread forming screws also. I've always done my own oil changes, the one I lost had broken and fell out on one of my skid pan removals.

Replaced all parts with smoked mesquite, and L.E.D bright interior lights.
I was missing the same two items after my vehicle oil changed. Today Technicians aren't yesterday mechanics. Those parts aren't cheap and the dealership invoice is costly. The junkyard is a great place to acquire screws, nuts, and bolts.

I just bought some today at the dealership: 52116-0C090 (Radiator support Splash Shield Nut). The parts guy quoted me a price initially then gave a lower price. I bought 3 but paid cash, a little over 6$ for the 3 of them. The online price I saw was $1.48/ea. One of these were broken on my initial dealer oil change and I didn't find out until I started doing my own oil changes. I'm going to look at finding some that aren't easily broken.

So that’s what is supposed to hold that on. I got my 2016 used and it had those nylon panel retainers holding that in place. Someone must have lost the originals.

Those look black on one of the parts sites I went to. Do they look like the same size/shape as the white one in my original post?

The color is gray and the reason they break is there's not much meat on them, not a really good design. The white ones are flat and these have a boss nub to locate the bumper cover. They must go through them at the dealership because he brought them to me loose, not in a polybag. The white ones look like they would hold up longer.

If you haven't already, I'd definitely go to the dealership and ask them WTF is up with these not being put back. Then after they replace them, I'd not go back.
    Update?

I usually catch this before I leave the dealership and have them fix it on the spot. I didn’t check until I got home this time…called the dealership, sent detailed pictures of the parts, and told them to mail me some. 2 weeks later, he says he couldn’t find the exact parts, but is going to mail me some bolts to put through there…

    Oh wow......
My skid plate was being held on by 2 bolts. I searched Amazon and came up with the exact right bolts. It's a 2014. Yours being a 202, You might be able to find them. I think the salesman couldn't find them because he didn't look or they didn't have them in their parts department and he didn't want to look for them online.
Either way, I hope you get it fixed buddy!
