Does anyone have the acrylic MGM bumpershellz?

I'm trying to decide which color bumpershellz I want.
The truck is MGM.
So it is either:
1. MGM painted
2. MGM acrylic
3. black TPO I think is supposed to match the black plastic center

Does anyone have pics of the MGM Arcylic?

I put these "bumpershellz" on a couple years ago during a group buy. They are holding up well. MGM Acrylic to the best of my recollection.

He was a lot of help a couple of weeks ago with all my questions.

I showed the wife pics of black TPO and color-matched covers on other trucks.
She thinks the black TPO would look better on my MGM so I ordered them.
She is the Queen of color, matching, and design..

They arrived this week,
Waiting for it to warm up outside to test fit and apply.
If I don't like the black after a test fit, I'll return the TPO and order the MGM acrylic due to @Puba pics.
They look great..

I got in a group buy when the Bumper Shellz just came out....they were trying to get a following going in the beginning. I'd say don't wait, get rid of that horrible chrome NOW. There are other options out there but to me, this is the one of the easiest (and most instantly) gratifying cosmetic mods you can do. A group buy might save you 10% off list. Just do it.

We've also kind of moved away from the "group buy" system and did something different for Gen 3, which I think worked out a lot better. These forums really did a lot for us as far as business and following, so we gotta give back.

 

Will do- they are stripped to bare chrome right now. It's been too cold and I really don't want to do it again.

 

Hey OP @1lowlife did you get your TPO covers yet?

 

I got them but I'm waiting for it to stop raining and get above 70° to put them on..
I took off today but had a garage door issue..
One of the cables broke at 3:00..
Fortunately got someone out to fix it..

 

that’s interesting. I looked up last weekend when I heard a strange noise and one of my springs had a huge stretch in it (about to snap).

I changed the springs, and while doing so, one of my cables was frayed about 60% of the way.

THAT SAME DAY, my neighbor opens his garage and I hear BANG… cable snapped.

Did you get front and rear covers?

 

Yes...
I read thru the instructions today.
Seems the front is a little more time consuming than the rears...

Awesome! Assuming you have heating in your house... and if you don't why'd you spend your money on BumperShellz and not a heater?
But assuming you do, you can always put your Shellz inside to warm them up... then pull into the garage (unless you're having issue like @1lowlife) and use a heat gun to warm the chrome up to about 65 degrees.

If you bought them directly from us, then you have Version 3. Version 3 is much easier to install. We have no idea what inventory some of our 3rd party retail partners have in stock. We know some Version 2s are floating around because we still occasionally get phone calls about it. But you should all have V3 at this point if you bought from us in the last 9 months or so.

Yes, I bought them from you after you helped me with all my questions a couple weeks ago.
After rereading the instructions, it will be easier than I thought since I don't have sensors.
I broke that fender liner clip twice replacing fog lights.
Although I think I have it down now if I need to remove it again.




I'm gonna wait until it warms up and I can get a good cleaning and test fit done.
My wife already liked them when I simply held them up to the bumper.

I post pics once I get them installed..

 

The sensors are super easy to uninstall and re-install even if you had them.

Hope you're able to find some fender clips. I can't remember if you need them for the install.

Ahh, I see your wife has good taste.

 

I had to replace those fender clips twice years ago with fog light changes, I finally learned how to remove them without breaking them.
I'm good now.

The wife, yeah, she picked me so I guess she has good taste..

 

Bullet has been bit. Ordered my MGM's a week ago and now I wait.

....I hate waiting.

Did you order painted or acrylic? Because if you went Acrylic... we're SO FAR behind on orders, you might get it sooner than you think! Unless we caught up and are back on to our normal machine schedule

Parts are in hand!! Saturday looks like the day.

 

Got an early start, did the backs. I had to spend another 30 minutes scraping and stripping plastidip from the undersides of the bumper.

The fit is remarkable. It's like a glove. The instructions are great. Here are the obligatory before and afters:
