I would like to change the leather seats to a non-perforated vinyl. Has anyone installed a vinyl / leatherette seat cover on their 1794 / Platinum? If so, how does it work with the leg extender (power thigh area)?

    Thanks for your help!

    Welcome from NY.

Why do you want to remove the leather?

Where are from? Maybe someone near you would swap out their seat covers for yours.

    Thanks for the welcome.

I'm not looking to remove the leather on the seat necessarily. Rather put a vinyl or some other water-proof cover over them. Because the 1794 seats (and platinum too I suppose) are difficult to keep clean.

Typically I hear it goes ultrasuede cleaning + vacuum + leather clean + condition. Some say this is unnecessary, others disagree. I wish I could have gotten the options of the 1794 Truck with the vinyl seats / vinyl floor of the SR Work Truck Package.

I'm more or less simulating that with Husky Liners + hopefully a good pair of seat covers that fit. It probably won't match the work truck as I hear the factory vinyl floor / seat is very durable.

Most of these covers (like the clazzio) seems to be made for the SR5 model, which is why I posted this thread to see if anyone has tried other brands.
