I just put one in, as we are curious to what they do when we are not home. My guess is sleep, but the wife and kids disagree.

Nope, 2 of my 3 are crated for their safety and the well-being of my home any time I leave

the 3rd has dementia and panics in the crate and she just lays on her bed or stands at the door drooling till we return

I don’t have pets but I have arlo wireless cameras at home and couldn’t be happier with them. Literally set them anywhere and check them anytime on your phone.

Our dog stays in his crate but when he was young my wife downloaded an app called Many Thing on her ipad that she could then get the video feed from on her phone while she was at work.

My daughter has one of those that shoot treats to her pups. She will look in on them and they have learned when they hear her voice to run over for a snack.
