    Hey guys

I am soon to have a set of bilstein 5100 in my possession and I am torn between the ome/2885 and the dobinson c59-314. I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra v8 4x4 and I am looking for 2.5 inches of lift in the front (with a steel front bumper). The dobinsons have 10mm more (I know not much but still relevant) of free height. Would you personally go with the dobinson c59-314 or 2885s with the aftermarket steel bumper? Or would you go with a completely different spring? I am aware of other threads about suspension options so please don’t link them ive already looked

I have 5100's with OME 2885 Coils and a Coastal Off-Road front bumper. No complaints here, I'm sitting at about 2.25 inches of lift based on my measurements. I do a review and have a little driving footage in this video as well. I have heard good things about the dobinsons springs, but I wouldn't have any concerns about the OME springs not holding up the weight.

@208Tyler i watch your YouTube videos! Thanks for the feedback on the 2885s. I just found out that someone posted a set of 2885s with 5k miles (settled) on them for $60 near me. May just take advantage of that

    Let's see...

The Dobinson C59-314 comes in at 405mm and 586 lbs/in spring rate. Spring rate is similar to the 2885, but it's sitting about 10mm taller and probably more similar to the OME 2888, so you may end up getting more than you're bargaining for, even with the front armor and 4WD on that access cab chassis. Compare to OME's offerings here and you should be able to ballpark it. I'd personally go OME because it's similar quality and a known quantity given how many members with same cab/drivetrain options have the same setup ... but that's just me.
