Curious if anyone knows if yourself or anyone else has had their spare tire stolen with a lock in place?

I drove a Honda CRV for 15 years with the spare hanging on the back and haven't had anyone take it. It doesn't get much easier to steal a full sized wheel than where they put it.

My story is just an anecdote, and you'll get a bunch more anecdotes. Just remember the plural of anecdote is not data. If you're worried about your wheels being opportinisticly taken then throw a set on, but wheel locks aren't going to stop or slow down anyone who has come to take your shit.

Ive had jeeps with the tires exposed, in some cases with expensive wheels, trucks and SUVs with them under the rear, have never had a spare tire stolen or even an attempt to steal one.

Don't give people ideas, spare tires might be the next moneymaker like cat convertors.:boink:
