The diff gets warm, when crossing through cool/cold water you can cause a vacuum and suck water into your diff........ in theory. It's cheap insurance like Mark, @dcsleeper408 said.

You have a white Tundra. No need for mod. Your truck should roll right on top of the water, a truly spiritual experience.

Haha: you doubt my advice, huh? :boink:

Yup. Like sliders, protection you may never need. But being able to play hard in your truck without worrying all the time is worth it.

I don't mind; I'm just playing. I've asked a million "clarifying questions" on here. And I'm about to do a wave of "lift", "suspension" and "will these tires fit" questions.

It's just insurance. I've had my rear diff submerged in water a few times with the factory diff vent. When I had the diffs opened up for upgrades, there was no water inside the housings.

Can't you extend them? When I bought my 3.0 used, the guy I bought them from said he could make to any length I needed.

No. This is for a factory setup that I’m not going to change on the mounting locations. Even if the shocks were new and free I wouldn’t.

These would be going on this...80162A76-2442-4652-98EE-173EA1BDB9FA.jpg
