Now that my truck is a bit over 300k miles, I still happen to beat on it and push it really hard when driving. My wife and people that ride with me tell me that I should stop pushing my truck so hard. Most times I get the truck high in the rpm’s but my truck is still holding up despite what I do to it as far as driving and towing/hauling. Part of me wonders if I should be more gentle since she’s older and got miles.

Truck is broken in to your driving pattern at 300k. As long as you’re doing regular maintenance then you should be good to go.

I thought Italian tuneup is a healthy thing for properly designed engines?

Lots of oil pressure, good air flow through the radiator. Hmmm... Engine oil, ATF and other lubricants heat up quickly and evaporate water, too...

Looking at my diminishing health, I'm worried I won't be able to wear my Tundra out. Sort of, like investment that you can't fully use in your lifetime.
