Simply wanted to share the outcome with using Rustoleum Peel Coat in matte silver. I have a 1794. I wanted to test out this since it is peelable until I know if I want to eventually replace, bumpershellz or wrap in the future. Just figured I would put it out there if others are interested.

@Breathing Borla Yeah, its a little lighter. But I think it's an improvement over all the chrome until I decide which direction to go. Suspension, wheels and tires are where my money is going right now.

You can get the color matched color coded spray cans and the clear coat.

The color match duplicolor??? Is super cheap but the clear coat is crazy expensive.

This is by far the cheapest way to do this imo that will match, getting colored matching vinyl is as expensive as paint, and is only 1 layer so rather paint with multiple layers and clearcoats

I'm in the process of deciding to paint myself with duplicolor or pay bodyshop to match the color those bumper trim pieces (not mustache)

@Breathing Borla This is my 6th tundra. No issues in the past. I used plastidip on all of the previous models at one time or another for over a year with no issues.

Weird question, can you paint over plasti dip with an oem color and clear coat it and still retain the ability to peel off if it doesn't match? I have a smoked mesquite and deciding between sparksparts, oem color wrap, bumpershellz.

I bet if you put the gloss clear over it the whole thing would look like it matched more :monocle:
