I'm looking at Monroe 153032 gas severe service complete strut assembly for my 2010 Tundra. However, the description reads "non TRD". Interestingly, my local auto parts store tells me this will fit. I'm somewhat confused as I have seen the non TRD description with other brands.

Not interested in raising the vehicle. I just want diy plug-and-play replacement.

    Thanks!

I would advise keeping a look out on local craigslist, facebook marketplace, offer up etc. and these forums for some take off parts from people lifting their brand new trucks. Sometimes even dealers will sell this stuff off on ebay too. I made an offer on ebay and got brand new base model (non TRD) take offs front assembled coilovers and rear shocks for under $200 shipped! OEM parts will always be better than auto parts store stuff. The TRD model would be the yellow shocks instead of black for quick reference.

I am guessing they mean those coil overs will not work for a TRD PRO Tundra. The TRD Pro coil overs lift the front 2 inches higher than the other Tundra trims. What you are looking at is the stock replacement for all other trims.

Turn your steering wheel all the way to one side to expose the shocks and post a picture of what you have now. I suspect at minimum you'll be wanting Bilstein 5100s on the middle or highest setting.

Personally I hate quick struts and I would never use them. Good spring compressors don't cost a ton of money.

Those will work, but the Monroe 171119's are nearly half the price. Make sure you get the "L" and "R".
