Use Tow+ instead of you want real sport mode.

It is a fairly significant driving experience upgrade.

    -RPMS kept higher/in power band
-Feels like torque converter is locked after shifts, instead of being partially locked
    -Feels significantly sportier

Likely not new info to most, however I'll be using Normal or Tow+ for daily use, depending on mood haha.

Eco is nice for long freeway cruises as it removes quite a bit of sensitivity at the pedal.

Sport is my daily driver mode. No loss of fuel economy vs. Normal but reduced throttle lag. (I get 18mpg calculated commuting with a level lift and skinny 35's.)
Tow or Tow+ if I'm towing or want to be a hooligan. :burnrubber:
ECO is road trip (non-towing) with the Cruise Control on mode.

Tow+ also seems to do downhill engine braking. I like to go sport/Tow for a lot of the short steep hills around here. Normal seems to struggle on anything but flat.

I also seem to get slightly better mileage in sport mode. I assume it’s because I live in the PNW, where nothing is flat. So, there’s a lot of on/off of the accelerator. I think sport keeps it from bogging down when you accelerate when moving uphill and this translates to less time with my foot on the gas.

It is awesome with several settings that will beat the TOW+ plus eco mode, valet mode (to keep the valets from gassing it) and if you are in a bad neighborhood you can "lock" your gas pedal electronically so it can't be used.

Just unplug the connection on the back of the gas pedal and plug this inline. It has a physical controller that you can mount or you can use an app on your phone.

Tow haul does more engine breaking, tow+ expects you to Be using trailer breaks so less engine breaking.

Does every Tundra have the tow and tow+ options or is it trim/package thing?

I dunno about the engine breaking, but I do notice the down shifting while slowing down in Tow+.

Map 3 is my max,not to mention getting E30 around me is like a zillion miles away so the best I can do is 93 + Octane booster.

Not sure this is true. I have a 23 SR5 and I have tow+ as standard equipment.

I just checked because of this thread. I've had the truck for almost 2 years and never pressed the tow haul button.. turns out I do have TOW+ and I have an SR5. Another reason why I love this forum.

Sorry for the wrong information guys, I was under the impression (told) that SR's didn't get that option.
    My bad.

I'm glad you found it and sure that you're loving it:thumbsup:

I believe SR5 does have it, but SR does not. Goes for all modes on SR. Normal only to my knowledge.

The base model SR's do not have the drive mode selector or tow/haul button.. I had a '22 SR through work before I bought my '24 SR5, which does have it.

edit: I didn't see @chaztizer already responded before I posted mine saying the same thing.. leaving this up anyways

    tow/haul + = :burnrubber:

to my understanding its the only mode without torque management muting things down.

remember everyone, you have to hit tow/hau button, THEN rotate dial to get tow/haul+

What are you using to raise the octane? I know some of the boosters only raise by tenths of an octane versus by full numbers, and really are misleading. If I recall, most are xylene/toulene based and some people use that instead of marketed boosters. Just curious is all...

The only ones that are worth the money are the VP Racing madditive/octanium ones. HOWEVER, if you run those, they will coat your cats and plugs with residue. DO NOT run them with catalytic converters.

E30 is legitimately a super fuel. My GTI made 403whp on 93oct, and 441whp on E30 blend. It was wild. I was out of injector at that point.

Royal Purple Max boost it'll bring up 30pts/3 so 93 octane to 96,1 can for 15~25 gallons.Map 3 and under using this method.
I have logged runs with this and all specs are well within any safeties being triggered.
AFR,Ignition1,Trims,Boost,pedal and RPM's are all monitored.
With this you can't use Map 4 definitely need E30 <.
