    Hi:

There is a procedure for the 4runner, and I am pretty sure it works for the Tundra to disable the truck from responding to smart key entry and start/stop button.

    https://www.4runners.com/threads/how-to-disable-smartkey-permanently.27564/#post-398711

Any experts would know about how the system works can tell us that
If this procedure is done to disable the smart key start/stop from the truck (not remote). does copying the remote to a virgin remote using the relay method would start the car using the new virgin RFID chip... If it does not, then putting the remote in battery save mode is not necessary after this procedure... and this procedure should make protect against copying the remote.

    Works for Tacoma’s as well.

but I do not think it can be scanned to a virgin remote since it’s not longer sending a signal in battery save mode ~ if I read your question correctly
