Trying to figure put how to disable the tailgate down warning when I haul something longer than the bed. Looked in the manual and couldn't find anything and carista doesn't have anything for it.

I am hoping some here knows how to do it.

Doesn't it just mute itself after a period? I have driven with mine down and all I got is the little picture on the dash

You can turn it off in the dash menu settings. It's in there somewhere. I forget the exact sequence, but I did turn mine off. Not the big screen, but the left side dash menu.

It does turn off after a bit but its very insistent and annoying while its on.

I will dig a bit deeper and see if I can find it. I haven't had much luck so far.

Thank you both for your replies.

at least you cant turn off the warning buzzer when you hood is not latched :)

driving down the road at 75mph and the hood unlatches but is still secured though.

If I remember correctly just push the little metal latch in tailgate where it would latch to the tailgate pin and it will think its closed and no warning will be on the dash. Basically just push the little metal mechanism that latches onto the gate pin that keeps the gate closed and you've "Tricked it into thinking its closed". Pretty sure that worked last time I hauled something with the tailgate down.
