Any negatives to installing two choachbuilder shims per side (for 1" of lift) and going to get an alignment afterwards?

Do I need bump stop extensions? I'm thinking no, but considered putting a few washers under the factory stops.

I am going for an "aggressively stock" look with 275/70/18 installed, and honestly, am on a tight budget with kids in daycare and don't need shocks/can't afford 5100's right now :)

Debadged 5.7 iForce on summer rims, will upgrade to 275/70/18 duratracs.

Don’t have any experience with the shims myself... but see plenty people rolling with 1 or 2 CB shims on aftermarket coilovers with no issues as well as people with 1” or 2” of lift on stock UCAs without issues. I think you have a good idea for a cheap simple 1” lift.... just get that alignment like you said and you should be good to roll.... as for bump stops, I agree with you and doubt they are necessary at this height.

Though for this much trouble I’d probably just snag some Bilstein 5100s or something similar. Enjoy!!
