For the people who have installed leveling kits on these new tundras, Did you install a Diff drop? I'm about to order the Procomp 2.5 inch leveling kit and it comes with a diff drop. Every other kit I have seen doesn't include it so I'm not to sure its required and I'd like to not run it if its not necessary. Not sure if its required or if its just coming with it because this kit fits 2nd-3rd gen tundras and a few other vehicles. Any input is appreciated TIA.

No. That's likely a holdover from the older gen kit. ProComp likely cheapened out and just didn't want to separate out the kits for the 2022 Tundra. The fitment for that kit is good for the 2007 to 2022 Tundra meaning they haven't changed that kit since it launched. lol

I put 2" spacers on my truck to tide me over until I do a proper suspension lift. I've wheeled it fairly hard and put 10k miles on it after the spacers...no issues.

    Ohhh...one thing to add:

I don't know that I would go a full 2.5" spacer lift. It seems that a lot of the suspension lift manufacturers (Icon, Fox, King, etc) are all pretty uniform in saying anything beyond 2.25" will go outside the travel specs of the stock UCAs. Just a heads up. If you're not going to articulate it much, it probably will be fine...but I wouldn't want to stress the UCA ball joint too much by going beyond 2".

I would just do a 2" spacer. That leveled out my truck nicely.

I don't do any heavy wheeling and i live in Florida. I use 4wd a bit tho when pulling my sxs to places to ride. I think ill be fine tho there is hundreds of people putting the 3 inch westcott kit without issues and no aftermarket UCA's and they are still able to get alignment in spec. Also worried a 2 inch level wont give me what I want. I want the front to be a quarter to half an inch higher than the rear. I like the way it looks better than any nose dive personally. Id love to hear what ur measurements were tho after the level and settling. I have a SR5 no air ride with black hitachi shocks.

Gotcha. I'm running the red Bilsteins with the OR package so it might be slightly different. I'm not sure if the spring rate differs between the two packages.

My pre-spacer measurement was 21.5" front & 23.5" rear. That was center of the hub to the bottom of the fender trim. Post spacer I'm 23.5" both front & rear. The front was about .5" higher up front until the suspension settled following a ~8 mile test drive.

I know it's level because I put a 3' level and a cheap angle gauge on the bed rail cap and on the ground to make sure both matched. That was after it all settled.

I may just go with the 2 inch then i was really worried while looking at kits because I really want to eliminate all the nose dive. Thank you

If you're looking for a little bit of that Carolina squat...I would go the 2.5" spacer. :) I joke, but after it all settles out...I don't think they'll be much of a difference.

It's funny because RC advertises their 1.75" spacer as a level. My 2" was a level. ProComp advertises their 2.5" kit as a level. That's a 3/4" spread between the various kits. They can't all be true. haha

lol yeah i hate to much squat i see it all the time in Florida. I like just a tad no more than an inch higher in the front looks really good in my opinion not everyone's cup of tea tho.

Right?? That is what makes it so complicated to pick a kit because you have no idea how much it will really lift it

I have the 1.75” RC level and it measures perfectly level. But yeah, not sure how there’s so much variance but they all say level lol.

I would just install the diff drop. It doesn't reduce ground clearance at all and only serves to make your front CVs last longer. There is literally no downside to installing them and only a benefit.

I have the Pro Comp kit and it didn’t come with a diff drop.

I used a diff drop from the Rough Country kit that drops the diff an inch.

    Pro Comp coils up front.
Dobinson 2.5” springs with Pro Comp 1” spacer in the rear.
Dobinson IMS shocks in the rear.
    Dobinson adjustable Pan Hard
Rough Country parts here and there. Diff drop, brake line brackets, etc.

No sway bars front or rear. Still need to do some flex testing to see if this is a limiting factor or not.
