Mine came with two. When I picked it up they topped it off and when I picked up my plates they topped it off.

I’ve never bought a new vehicle that they didn’t go fill up before turning over to me lol.

Any dealership that’s that cheap must be down hard lol.

It should. I have always made it a point before signing to ensure a full tank and two sets of keys/fobs along with removal of dealer plate frame.

When I was hunting for my truck, I noticed a shit ton of window stickers that expressly said “6 gallons of gas” under the specs…. My window sticker didn’t mention gas at all, so I was expecting nothing, but hoping for the best….

As I’m in finance office my sales guy comes to grab the key to get gas in it… I asked how much, and he said he was filling it up… I mentioned how many stickers I saw that said 6 gallons and they didn’t believe me haha… said thats crazy, considering the number of folks over the years that have walked from deals because of that type of stinginess…

Years ago my wife wanted a VW Jetta. So once we make the deal, I ask about the gas. The salesaman, I bought my 85 4x4 form him at the Honda dealer, said he would ask. The sales mananger came back with $10 worth. I told them I was leaving. Salesman paid for it out of his pocket.
Found out later that they sold a Audi 5000 Turbo the week before that ran out of gas 10 miles from the dealership. Keep in mind that was a $24K car in 1985.

I bought my 2016 used and even it had a full tank.

No, they are not required to, but it's a common practice.

Toyota pays the dealer to prep the vehicle and that includes a full tank of gas. Many Stealers will take the prep fee and not fill the tank to obtain greater profit.

Always and sometimes we would pull in there up to a few weeks later just to say hello and they would take it and go fill up the tank. I triple dog dare him to go fill it up!!:)

I told my guy, no dealership stickers, branding or badges.

It always makes me laugh when people drive around with $$$ vehicles with tacky dealership stickers or badges on them.

me too. First thing I do is remove dealership stuff if not more. They don’t pay me to advertise.

I always say no dealership markings on MY truck - unless they want to pay me $100/month for advertising fees. But their best advertising is a good honest deal because I will refer people to them.

From the posts here seems like Toyota fills up tanks. When I bought a Dodge Charger years ago the salesman told me straight up they dont fill up gas tanks to reduce costs (didnt care about it at the time I was ready to get out of there after hours of paperwork). I know is not a big deal, but it always stuck in the back of my mind and never bought another Dodge (for many other reasons)... but my Tesla did come fully charged .

Funny thing, When my dad picked up his First Honda back in 79 it had dealer license plate frames. He told the guy take em off or drop 200 for I year of advertising. being a new dealer they agreed. He left them on exactly one year.

Yes, Toyota dealers are required to top off. When you get your survey, that is one question is asked & dealers better do it. As previous poster showed, its on sticker thus must be provided.

My sticker said it came with 6 gallons of gas… however they did fill it up. So not sure why even list that on there.
