Did your Certified used Toyota come with a full tank of gas?

Just bought and received my 2020 Toyota Certified Sequoia TRD Pro that was shipped to me from the selling Toyota dealer in suburban DC area. Car was dropped off with no valve stem covers on all four wheels(penny item, I know, unless those BBS wheels originally had fancy covers) and a near-empty fuel tank. I was under the impression that the certified Toyota vehicles came with a full tank of gas. Am I wrong?

 

Probably deliberate since it adds weight to the shipment.

 

Mine didn't, but I left a near empty tank in my trade-in 4Runner, so I suppose we're even.

 

The valve stem caps? LOL, sorry, I couldn't resist.

Probably just depends upon the dealer....

 

It's a guess, but I doubt it. I'll text my contact at the dealership.
I don't know where I got the "full tank of gas included" wet dream, but I did read it on a couple of Canadian Toyota dealers websites.

Nope, 1/3 full.

 

Mine was almost empty when I bought it. Like most used cars. I had the privilege of adding the first $120 to the tank myself.

 

I bought mine in person, so it was filled up and ready to be driven away.
Makes sense to ship vehicles with as little fuel onboard as possible. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Ask them to send you a gas card for $50 or you'll give them a bad review. in all caps. with exclamation points.

 

If you were there in person the full tank would have happened most likely. They did not fill it to save on shipping costs

 

They did not fill mine. I picked it up in person. Certified and all that jazz. Empty.

 

As I recall it was a little over half. (before the test drive )

 

Oh damn. I guess it depends from dealer to dealer then.

 

Or tell them that you ran out of gas on the way to the gas station...

 

If it helps.. in 07 I bought my Tundra new, drove off with a 1/4 tank of gas left. I had to go back and get more stuff installed, They filled it up in the back of the lot. Sales guy drove me back there
