Are these trucks made of tin? I have a lot little dents long the top of the bedrails. Truck is only 4 months old and I baby this thing.
I had a body shop give me an estimate and because of the location they said the whole panel would need to be replaced.
    Anyone else having this issue?

    Rant over.

Hopefully you didn't get the fuel economy package with thinner metal for better mpg's.

Yes they are incredibly thin. I dented my tailgate (on the bed side) first week with a Honda Foreman. If I walk on tailgate I can feel it deflect.

Would love to see some pics!!

That's more then a few little dents, if the bodyshop wants to replace the panels.

If it makes you feel any better, my 2017 work Chevy has dings all over the bed rail areas also, but the ones I have are from some pretty heavy use doing gas pipeline work and loading/hauling equipment. I do construction and reno work with my Tundra and have zero defects like you mentioned. Thats including before I put the tracracs on with the sliding rails and regularly loading a few hundred pounds of lumber on them. Do you have the plastic covers on the bed rail tops or are you putting crap on the paint?

The top of my bedrails have the plastic cover

That said, I don't bang it with anything. I throw stuff in the bed, not on the bed rails.

My tailgate is heavily pushed in on the bedside as well because of my 2.5ton jack I use to haul... Tried straps, but they would just slide off. My kid hits the the bedrail as well and its all banged up...

I dented my hood the first week by making the mistake of using my hand on the the hood itself to close the hood. I was able to rub the dents out from the inside 90%. Only use the hood bulge now to close the hood.

They run along the top exterior of the rails, just below the plastic cap. I'll post some photos when I pick the truck up from the shop Monday
