Just installed a new decked system on my Tundra. I’m unsure if I like but that’s another thread…

Is the decked system + ARE CX (with sportsman windows and Yakima rack too much everyday weight for my new 2023 Tundra I Force Max.

how much sag should I expect?

is this going to kill my brake and rear suspension life?

trying to decide if I dump my decked system to lighten up

    Pro feedback???

Shell and decked system are fine. Depends on what you load in there and if it’s loaded all the time.

You should be fine, but here's my 2 cents. My truck is a 2021 double cab.

I built a drawer system out of plywood first and it weighed more than the DECKED system. I kept it pretty loaded and had an ARE topper. I had maybe an inch or two of sag compared to completely empty, but it drove better than empty (less rigid) and noticed no big difference in braking.

I've since upgraded to the actual DECKED system, and I love it. Instead of traditional drawer slides which age poorly and function worse as the weight goes up, the wheels in the DECKED system roll smooth no matter how much I have it loaded up. And I can powerwash the whole thing without unloading my drawers since the polymer is waterproof and my plywood drawers were not.

All that being said, I did eventually upgrade to heavy duty Deaver springs to improve the performance when off-road, which I do pretty often.

OP has a whole different rear suspension. Has a 23 with coils. Not sure the info from a 2.5 is any help.

Gonna need a few more years at least. Wife may get a Seqouia before I let loose of either of my current Tundras.

If I logged it correctly the decked system alone is 230lbs and the CX series are 175lbs. Truck is plenty capable.

running a normal leer cap and a loaded decked system, worst case scenario you need some airbags or HD rear springs
