    Should I get 285/65/18 or 275/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers?

    2012 CM stock suspension stock wheels.

    Just depends on the look you want. 275/70 will be a little skinnier, and 285/65 will be a little beefier. Both will fit on stock suspension.

    And just for reference if you have a 275/65 R 18 stock The 285’s will be about a half inch taller and a half inch wider than stock.

    For me I like the 285. Just a little more plump than stock. But they aren’t a very common size. So from my research they have been higher priced then the 275s

    I have found that out as well. It’s about 30 per tire more.

    I am looking for the plumper look. Fits me well. Just trying to figure out if it is wort the extra money for the plumpness. Don’t know if will even be noticeable.

    Thanks for the info. I thought they would fit but needed confirmation due to what others have said but had the TRD suspension and didn't know if it was setup different. I gather now that TRD id the same but the TRD PRO is different.

    Correct, the TRD PRO suspension is different than the other suspension Toyota offers and is the only one that provides lift in the front. The others are stock height in front.

    Would a 285/70/18 fit with stock suspension? This looks to be 33.7" tall.

    I think that’d be pushing it. But it is kind of a rare size on Tundras so I don’t know for sure. Almost everyone I’ve seen running that size is at least leveled out.

    As I am learning all of this tire stuff, that is what I was thinking.
    Can you just add the Bilstein 5100 to level or do you have to add additional parts? From my readings, I don't think I would go more the 2" in the front.

    5100’s would do just fine. You could just do em in the front or add em to the rear as well. The rears will work on 0-1” or lift and will be an improvement over stock.
