Prices around my area have been crazy lately but think I finally found a decent deal..

2014 DC SR5 with TRD off road package.. About 1.5k in upgrades in the form of TRD grill and retrax pro xr bed cover, only has 10k miles.

    33.5K before taxes

Haven't been able to find anything around this pricepoint that isn't completely barebones or has 70k+ miles

Wow! Still seems high to me, but I have a 2020 SR5 DC 4x2 SX package that I got for $35,500 out the door here in Texas. I guess the TRD Off Road will bump that up significantly, so if you have your heart set on that set up then it might be a good price. Dealership or individual? Might be able to get them to $31,000 or so. That's SUPER low miles for sure!

I actually got this deal through Carvana, they sometimes have a super good "keep moving price". I was initially scheduled to get a really well modded 2015 4x2 sr5 dc with 30k miles for $30k. Had the trd exhaust, tss package wheels/tires, pro grill, no chrome etc but I really wanted it to be 4x4 and found my current deal for just $3k more and less mileage as well.

It's crazy that it has only been driven so little, might as well be new lol. I initially really wanted a Tundra with the SX package but it's so hard to find.

Thinking about going through with the deal and worst case scenario lose very little in depreciation in case I like the 2022 next gen Tundra. Was gonna wait to sell my Taco for either 2021 Tundra or next gen but getting paid $2k more than local dealers and getting such a low mileage vehicle make this a very tempting deal.

    EDIT

    Just found it on Carvana.

Seems like a pretty decent deal.

KBB puts that configuration at 34 - 38k.

They give it a fair purchase price of 36k.

Already on the process of buying but have until Saturday for delivery. Was trying to get local dealers to price match for a slightly newer one (2018+) because of the new features and dash but no one has budged.

So initially my plan was to keep my current Taco and wait for next gen Tundra but this deal seems so good that I might be able to use this Tundra for a year or two, not loose much in depreciation, and sell it if next gen seems compelling.

The fact that there won't be a V8 in the next gen might make the previous gen more valuable.

If it wasn't a good deal then I would simply keep my Taco and wait lol

I see, guess I will go through with it lol!

I initially wanted a 4x4 but everything was so overpriced but was lucky enough that Carvana made this one available the day before delivery of the one I had purchased initially.

    If that's for a 4X2 I would say it's alright but if it's 4X4 then it's extremely good

He's doing the quote sheet for me in the morning. He said I get savings for military, Costco, and Truecar membership.

Damn that is too high imo, which is a bit expected given the current high prices but still.

I was pricing out an Sr5 4x4 last year when prices were normal and you could get it for around the same price or less depending on the extra features.

I removed the SX decals in case you're wondering why my truck isn't readily identified as an SX in my pic.

I wonder if it also helps that it was built just down the street from where I bought it. They say it doesn't, but at least there's a lower cost overall for them.

Are you trading in your Tundra or getting a second vehicle?

If it's not a necessity right now I would say it's better to wait and save 3-4k until the prices come down in the next few months.

Hell I only bought due to the seemingly great deal on this vehicle and extra 2-3k trade in that I am getting compared to anywhere else.

Does it peel off easily in one piece? Or is it one of those irritating stickers that tear apart as you try to pull it off and there’s a bunch of glue still left?

No I'm not trading mine in. I told them to get bent with their 12K offer. They didn't like it when I told them Carvana was offering 17,500.

I'm so Fn pissed..Found a MGM Double Cab for 37 out the door. Said it was available so I drove up there to find out "another salesman sold it 30 minutes ago" but we have a CM Limited for 50K....I said nope. Then the other dealer has an MGM Limited DC 2wd and its 44K out the door...wtf.

Easily in one piece. I have a video, but it won’t let me post it here. Super easy though.

Yup, it's a old trick to get ya to buy a more expensive truck. It's a scummy tactic and I won't even consider their dealership if they pull something like that.

I would honestly just recommend waiting a few months for this price craziness to pass if you really don't need it..

If you have a current vehicle that works but you aren't trading it in then you would be missing out on the $2-3k extra trade in that is being offered and also pay over the roof prices.. In regular times, $37k gets you a really nice 4x4sr5 or a Limited 4X2..

The truck was sold when I got there. I think it was a shady deal by the other sales guy. I got there at 2 and the guy said it was being picked up at 4 and that it sold 30 minutes ago. I just found out that the guy drove 4 hours to pick it up. I've never heard of anyone purchasing while driving. Anyway, the other dealer has the 2wd Limited DC that is 44K out the door, and across town they have a 2wd DC SX and it is 38,500 out the door. Frustrating as hell. The dealers here even tell you that the prices won't drop...another tactic most likely.

Forgot to add that they still won't offer over 12K for mine stock. I told them they wouldn't get it for 12k stock, and they definitely wouldn't get it with the lift and everything on it. Hell even Carvana was 17,500 and its a 4.6.20200621_122338 (1).jpg

Carvana is nuts right now on what they are paying for vehicles. The only pricing that is greatly inflated right now is used cars, new car pricing hasn't gotten any better or worse with the pandemic just the availability.
