I'm in the market for an 05 or 06 DC. I found this one at a used car dealership. I've attached a video of the frame and a couple pics. The timing belt was last done in February 2018 at 111k miles (currently has 147k). The dealer doesn't know if/when the LBJ's were done.

The truck is listed for $12.5K. Is this a reasonable deal? Any red flags you can see? I'd have to drive it ~5 hours home.

It's really hard to tell from the tiny pics and videos. Almost looks like the underbody has flat black spray paint overspray on it. As if the frame was painted. Sorry, you need to look at it in person and really know what you are looking for as far as the "problem" areas.

Edit: I think later in the video the muffler looks like it has some black overspray on it too. I could be wrong or it could just be a previous owner who wanted to freshen things up.

Appears to be in decent condition, from what we can see. Appears to be 4wd. $12k is a good price for a 4wd DC with under 150k and a not rotten frame. Other factors would still need to be considered, but looks good on the surface.

In the video it looks like there’s water underneath; as in they just sprayed underneath to hide some of the rust. Looking at the engine bay pics there’s rust on the metal wire harness cover on the left side, and on the top of the abs lines and some of the fasteners. I’d be cautious and inspect in person. What state is the truck in, and what states has it been registered in according to carfax?

Yup. I just saw that there a second video. The brake calipers, dust shields, and the front crossmember are showing rust. And I see some possible spray paint underneath too.

Pics aren't showing for me, but as long as everything appears to be fine, then there's nothing wrong with that price. I paid $8500 for my truck, but after all the maintenance I did to fix issues I'm probably closer to $12000 on it.

Gotta see it in person. Get under it with a ball peen hammer and a big flat screwdriver. Bang around, poke at things, really observe. It does look to have some rattle can overspray. I'm a little bit suspicious. Look under the plastic bedliner. There could be lots of rust. Look above the spare tire at the crossmember and all of the bed crossmembers. There's missing doodads here and there, like the covers for the wiper arm bolts, wheel center caps, etc. That might drive me crazy, but can be found and replaced. Also we still haven't seen the interior...
