I have a 2004 step side Tundra and am trying to remove all of the decals, protective vinyl at step side etc. Any suggestions on a technique that won’t harm the paint? All original decals.

Many decals can be removed by heating them up with a hair dryer or electric heat gun. Take your time and use just enough heat to soften the glue.

Go the eraser wheel route. If those decals are original they will tear and come off in pieces with the heat approach. Just my 0.02. Any residue will wipe off with goo gone or wd-40.
