2023 Tundra TRD Pro - build in the works...
295/70/18 Duratracs - more mods being researched...
I'm liking the 23' enough to consider one as a long-term hold... and since I've got boxes of muds ready and now 52k on it - debating if with some disocunts and below market financing a new 25' Pro might be the better place to build from... it's a rig I use for work, but my DD....

anyone having discounts or buying experience etc or good stealership contacts... ?? I live in TX but am always in VA for work so I'm happy to travel to do a deal....

Thinking I'll do the TRD perf. option and extended warranty and then just build her out in one push....

Like another white Pro w/o red interior.

Check with Toyota of Ft. Worth. I dealt with every dealer in the Gulf States region who had the color I wanted and no one even came close to their deal. PM me if you want more specifics, salesperson's name, etc.

Contact Dana at Fred Haas Toyota World in Houston. I had a decent discount on my 25 Pro.

Why would you want to take another depreciation hit after only 2 years?

I think the man did a pretty good job of explaining his reasoning in his post. Tundras.com economists hard at work. LOL

It doesn't take an economist to know that a new vehicle depreciates the most in the first 2 years. Sometimes up to 30%.

But you're right, it's not my money the OP is throwing away.

I wish him luck with whatever he decides to do.

    Not Toyota. Bought a '20 tundra for $35, sold for $36, bought a '23 4runner pro for $54, traded in for $51500

This thread is about the Gen3 Tundras, and you clearly haven't looked at trade in values for them. The OP is likely to lose at least 20-25% in depreciation, if he trades his '23 in on a new one.

Obviously, he could do better if he sold his '23 himself. But some folks don't like dealing with that hassle, myself included.

Again, it's not my money he's throwing away, though, so I wish him luck.

Based on the selections OP has made for his chosen aftermarket components, I'd say it's fairly safe to say he has some disposable income. Not everyone dwells on "depreciation, blah, blah, blah" and instead focuses on whatever they want. Have what you want, when you want kind of thing. Some may even call this "F U money". LOL. If your bills get paid and your family is taken care of, spend whatever you want on the other stuff.

Yeah, I've known a lot of people who "thought" they had "FU money", then realized they don't have a pot to piss in when they get my age. I'm not saying that's the case with the OP. I don't know and don't care.

But he did ask for our opinions, and seems concerned about discounts and financing, so he's obviously not Elon Musk type wealthy.

If you can get a Pro around 72k and decent trade with the over 50k miles truck then jump on up and enjoy fresh start with all black headliner, Iso seats, ect ..

good fun reading comments and thoughts... just to clarify - I bought the 23' CPO'ed with 36k - it's more for work and customer visits... I just put 4k on it over the last 6 weeks and can see that continuing... thus the idea of a fresh tundra, potentially with the factory perf kit and extended warranty (the 2% interest if I decide to finance isn't bad either)

The mods are mostly yet to be installed, but accumulating... Mods are my "hobby" and reward for hard days....and I gave up boats, so...... it's not FU money, but money spent on achieving a vision of each truck car....and the mods have to work and be used for all my builds.

I hear a refresh coming in 2028. Something to consider OP. Year-end '25 might find a good deal.

yeah - it'll be interesting to see what the Gen 3.5/ 4 will be... but this will be a long-term hold if I move into a 25' ...... and I don't like first year vehicles typically...

If you don't mind, what did you pay for your pre-owned '23 with 36K miles?

haha - but partial info is more fun.... it looks like based on the two trade offers so far it'll have cost about 7k to have the truck for 27k miles plus maint and feeding...
