In the next few months i plan to buy a Tundra. Was curious are u likely to get at least a decent deal on an 18 now that the 19’s are in? Wanting a Platinum. Curious has anyone bought an 18 recently or perhaps a 17 Platinum as the 18’s were rolling in and did u get a good price?

I purchased an '18 5-6weeks ago. Fully equipped 4x4 w/sunroof asking price was 48k after rebates (54k msrp) and I was able to get the dealer to swap the rims and tires then drove her off the lot for $43,400ish I believe. Maybe you can do a bit better in your area. There were only 2 trucks available in my state with the options and color I wanted so only so much room to negotiate lol

They sure are! Tss T-force 20s wrapped in KO2s. Not a fan of the chrome trimming so I had them swap the rims and I swapped the mirror caps and handles. New and improved platinum badge coming soon.. as soon as I find the time.

Yeah I am very happy with the deal we worked out. Took me about 3 days to get the dealer to come around. I wanted bright blue, 4x4, leather seats, and a sunroof. Told them if he couldn't get the numbers i wanted I had no issues waiting for the 2019 trd pro. (No bright blue in 2019 platinum) I walked off the lot the first day, dealer wouldn't come down below 46k. Next day he texted me saying he could do 45k. I told him not to worry about it that I was heading to my local dealer to order a trd pro. Lol

He counter that evening, when I stopped responding to messages, with $43.5k. I told him that was really close but with the added expensive of having to buy black rims I was still better off with the pro.

15mins later he sent me a picture of the tss rims and said they would be on before I got to the dealership. So I made the drive and came home a happy Tundra Owner.

Also I bought the truck on the last day of the month.. dealership was short of their quota. That was also in my favor.

What a deal! Mine was nowhere close. I purchased mine for 48k and didn’t have different tires and rims. I guess I got ripped off. Still happy with truck.

The 2018 are moving very slowly.
Recently Toyota is now giving a $3,000 rebate for those that bring in their own financing, it has increased some movement of inventory.
Still a lot on the dealer lots but the nicer 1794 and Platinums are drying up.

If you are looking for the SR5 or Limited trim look at Tustin Toyota - they are selling Tundras for $8,000 below MSRP:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...1liy9lI7LNhQPldTqVQTSKBAVg/edit#gid=973982681

The only catch is that you have to bring in your own financing or cash deal and not be picky about colors.

Not getting a whole lot of movement from dealers up here in the PNW. All trying to get the truck OTD over sticker. Oh well - we will see how it goes as the month progresses.

If you are in the market for a 2018, I would start inquiring the dealerships around your area asap. I got my 2018 Crew 4x4 TRD sport for $9,000 off.

I got mine at DCH Toyota of Oxnard. I went to their website, found the truck I wanted, used their online request form to connect with them and immediately started negotiating. Went in after settling on a price and picked it up, it was very easy.

The platinum has all the bells and whistles. The Sport only has some of those whistles as options. My truck came with the TRD sport upgrade, which adds LED head lights, hood scoop, body painted bumpers, sport suspension, upgraded wheels, and something else. No leather or dual climate, which is no big deal to me.

I'm contemplating sealing the deal with a linex spray in liner. But not sure. Already have them on the ropes pretty good.
