Remote keyless fob batteries tend to die quicker than old school remote entry fobs. They're constantly sending a signal since they lock/unlock the doors with nearly anything within proximity of the handles. I think I've changed the batteries on my 2020 fob twice now.

    Welcome to the forums.

Welcome from VA. Easy fix. CR2032 I believe. Can be bought at any Walmart, cVS, Walgreens, grocery store. Takes about a minute.

2.5 gen is CR2032. I’m sure the third gen is the same too

I always get a couple because my wife’s accord takes the same battery. Luckily you get alerts when the battery is low.

Amazon basics, come in “several” packs. House alarm sensors and some optics use same one. All my Toyota fobs use same.

My 23’ Limited Fob battery died yesterday at only 8 mos old. Shortest Fob life of any I’ve had. It’s a really fat button cell -2450 - like I’ve never seen before.

My wife's Cadillac SRX and then XT5 remote batteries would only last 6 months at the most..:eek2:

The standard battery life for Toyota smart key fobs is 1 to 2 years, although them dying earlier isn't unheard of.

There is a battery-saving mode you can enable to help cut down on unnecessary battery usage:
