I’ve been trying to track down the DCM location in my 2020. I watched some vids showing behind the glove box and don’t see it there, and I don’t recall seeing it when I had my head unit out. Can anyone confirm where it’s located?

Heh, slightly vindicating that nobody immediately had an answer. ;) I’ll update once I find it.

Hey Chester, did you ever find the location? I have not been able to locate it either.

Not yet, I’ve been traveling a lot. It’s still on my list though. Where have you looked? I plan to look behind the radio and then the glovebox. I’m not sure where to look after that though.

I’m pretty sure it’s behind the head unit. I have checked both panels under the dash and under the hood and no luck. My DCM signal is gone which has now caused my microphone to stop working and the remote start.

I'll pull my radio tonight and take a look (have had that out before, but haven't removed the glovebox yet). Have you checked your fuses? There is one that powers the DCM, and reportedly will disable the mic if it's removed (or goes out).

Do you know what that one is labeled? The one that powers the DCM? I have looked and nothing says DCM.

    Maybe?
I'm assuming you have a floor shift and not a column shift.
It's pretty close to the same place on either.
I'd recommend disconnecting the battery since you probably have to pull the airbag under the glove box to get the glove box out..

    Did you check the fuse?

I suspect you've located it lowlife. I just pulled my radio and I don't see anything that looks likely. There's not much behind it. To the left of the center speaker there is some kind of module, but I can't see it well enough to be sure. Your documentation definitely indicates behind the glovebox.

I need to wait for another day to check the passenger dash. I want to leave the battery disconnected for an hour first to let the charge drain before fiddling with that airbag, and I need my truck later tonight.

It’s directly behind the glove box as shown above.

If you’re still in there, would you grab some pics? I haven’t opened mine up yet, and am wondering about the orientation and connectors.

This is all I have. The DCM has the white, gray and blue antenna connectors at the top.

@1lowlife, so the panel was labeled correctly.you were right it was there. So the fuse is good. Going to have to tear the dash apart and chase down a gremlin. Im assuming it’s the DCM connection on the passenger side. My remote start will not work and the DCM for emergency calls is gone along with Microphone. So from my research it has to be that final item. I’ll respond after I tear the dash apart. Thank you for the help yall!

@ChesterTundra so I had my whole dash apart. Right as soon as you drop the glove box it’s there. In @Avi8or pic. Where the blue and grey antenna is there is a gray rectangle plug in module, that’s the DCM disconnect. That was my culprit.

I forgot to post the link to where I found that info.

In the Tacoma, some passenger side speakers and the microphone are wired through the DCM. I assume to be used in emergency for communication. If the DCM fuse is pulled, you lose the passenger speakers and microphone. I assume the Tundra is likely wired the same.

Thanks everybody. I’m aiming to disconnect the antennas and see whether that causes any effects beyond no signal to the dcm.
