I searched, I couldn’t find much. Is this normal?

The track seems fine. The window rolls up and down perfectly. It’s silent as long as it is rolled up, but rolled down at all seems so loose that I’m worried a bump will shatter it.

What does the weather stripping look like on the inside and the outside? If the lip is torn away it could be causing some of the rattling.
Is the track tight? Could also be the stripping on the side too which helps keep it on track. Take a look at all the weather stripping.

Are you talking about the weather stripping around the cab opening or is there other? This is with the window completely rolled down and below what I would think is weather stripping.

Isn't there something on the sides to guide and protect the side edges of the glass?
Since you said that once it's rolled down at all it seems loose I was thinking that unless it's fully seated that there could be some missing rubber which helps to stabilize and cushion it.
