I got hit by a 16 yr old with no licence and a "stolen" parents' car. I was watching her the whole time and assumed she was going into the middle lane. No one was hurt. She was very shookup and I was very annoyed.

Damn... I just participated on a conversation of how fucked a left turn driver was after provoking an accident.. according to some supra and bmw folk, this is your fault, lol... reality is, you're good to go... I don't think they teach left hand turns must yield even if the oncoming driver has the right blinker on.. my friend learned that the hard way

Dang dude, that sucks! Houston is one of the worst places in the US to drive (NYC and LA are worse though lol).

Sorry about your truck. I’m glad no one was injured and Houston is a horrible place to drive.

I would have to say Connecticut drivers are so f'n stuck up (bmw land) that they would sue the town and state, blaming the traffic lights are interrupting their drive! If you pull up to a 4way stop intersection, they won't stop for you, or the stop sign, and NEVER use a turn signal. (That requires putting the poodle and the iPhone down to do that!). Driving are here requires you to assume nothing about other drivers...Ever!

Because last thing I’d want to do it post something on a public forum before any investigation has been done. You said you saw her the whole time. Well there’s the other drivers out. As much as I disagree YOU didn’t do anything to avoid it. Partial fault. Admitted and posted video evidence.

You can't see the plates so I wouldn't worry about an investigation somehow finding this footage

I wouldn't delete it, there's nothing you did wrong, that driver clearly ran into you. Sucks about the Tundra, glad it was a minor accident. Now, if someone did get hurt, then just maybe I'd wait and post it after insurance and settlements were done.

Anything you said doesn't change the fact they made an illegal left turn into you. By Texas law, she should complete the turn into the closest lane and must then use her right blinker to move into your lane after completing her left turn. Exceptions would be multi-lane left turns where the inside car is given tow lanes to turn into. This is from the drivers ed info my son is doing now.

I got rear ended today... Everyone is ok. On Saturday I just had my Eibach PRO-TRUCK COILOVER STAGE 2 (Front Coilovers + Rear Shocks ) and 1" toytec lift shackles installed, and haven't even had my aliment done yet. SMH

+ She has no license or insurance.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I didn't think there would different interpretations. Anyways, the police were called and my drive record is still flawless (knock on wood).

Let’s see - what could be wrong with posting a video of an accident to a public forum - without knowing what direction a case might take or if it may one day see the inside of a court room.

Wanna bet how fast a defense attorney doesn’t twist anything OP said or posted here to prove “bias”

Oh yea - bonus points for hitting a car with no evasive actions taken.

Google “last clear chance” - don’t know where OP lives as different states = different rules, but in a pure comparative state…that’s an easy 20-30% fault.

I don't think that matters because there are two lanes of travel, he was in the far right. To add to it, she pulled out into traffic off of a side street.

Hard for me to tell who got the worst of it. Her car was a New Bronco less then two weeks old.

Nah, he clearly had the right of way to continue on in his lane and she clearly crossed over into his lane and hit him. By the time he noticed she was not turning tight enough it was too late, although he did try to slow down. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

You guys are all being reasonable and rational. Which is how it should be. However the reality is an insurance company doesn’t want to pay and will do whatever they can to avoid paying. Posting a video only gives them ammo to find that “out”.
This situation may be different….but why take the chance? So a couple guys on the internet have some amusement?

Glad everyone is OK and I am sure your Tundra will be back in pristine shape. I always run quality dashcams in my vehicles, though that does not always mean my footage is available - HINT HINT. :) I did have a semi tire cap fly up in the air onto the hood of my 328i resulting in $5k of damage. Insurance did not increase due to the footage.
