Dashboard Vehicle Graphic doesn't match vehicle?!

Hi all,
2016 Crewmax SR5. Dashboard shows a double cab as the vehicle graphic (the one that spins around between tach and speedo). Is this normal?

I think it’s just a generic start up image. My all the ‘18s I test drove had the same start up image.

 

Yup, generic for all. 17 CM and mines the same image.

I just noticed the passenger side wheels are mounted outside in.

 

My '19 1794 CM shows the front view, not the side view. (And it looks like it actually shows the correct grille.) And in the top view that shows open doors, the doors are of the correct proportion for a CM.

 

Okay now next question is do you think there is a way to hack and change the image? Just a thought

 

probably easier to go trade in your truck for a double cab SR.

 

Good to know I don't have to take it to the dealer to get the ECM reprogammed !

 

I believe you can upload images for the start up screen.

 

I do have custom images for the startup screen. This is a different rotating startup truck image on the dash of earlier Gen 3's.

 

If your still under warranty I’d get them to fix that!

 

Take it back to the dealer, let them know it doesn’t match the color of your truck as well. Let us know what they say.....

 

I know that you can do this for the HU. I don’t think you can for the dashboard display.

 

I avoided any discrepancy by purchasing a white double cab.

 

exactly, even toyota HQ think that white DCs are the best looking truck they make.

 

This is getting too OCD for me

I had a guy ask me if I had my truck bed custom made because toyota has never made an 8' bed.

 

I do agree with them 100%

 

I would be way more worried about how your tire is low your doing a burn out and going 0 mph as well as your air bag may deploy.
