I have a very slight front of dash / windshield ticking noise. almost sounds like leaf hitting windshields. I thought there was post detailing the solution but cannot find. Does anyone remember the thread? It was a plastic piece or something that was loose. Thanks

Dude. I am getting something similar as well. Almost sounds like a plastic piece or maybe a wire tapping up under the dash on certain bumps.

If i recall, I think it was something loose up in the rear view mirror area?

I will check around rear view mirror. It is very soft almost like a pine needle tapping that stuck in a trim piece. Extremely random, i ride down extremely rough road not a sound. thought it was speed related but did it even go 40 mph

I went and checked by rear view mirror there is/was a piece of plastic that covers one wire on driver side and it was loose. I don't know if that was the cause yet but when I slid it back up against the headliner and it was much "tighter". I havent gone for a drive.

Also check the A pillar on the passenger side. Check the very top corner where the pillar, windshield and headliner meet. Mine is making some noise from that spot and I think I recall reading in one of the threads that was a trouble spot for noise, etc. with the pillar rubbing against the the top of the windshield.

    Function before sparkle.
Windshield cowl. Stick a took between the glass and cowl (outside) and see if it’s gone.

I have a similar noise. It's a very quiet plastic rubber rubbing noise. What I would describe as low audible like creaking of a rubber wiper across a smooth surface.

Mine is only Audible 30 mph or less. Predominantly from the right front speaker and a pillar area at the dashboard to Glass interface. Pressing on any of the interior panels doesn't seem to help I remove the a-pillar trim didn't see anything obvious.

Noise wasn't there before I had the truck painted they took the front windshield out to get the headliner out. My thoughts are an issue with the windshield setting in the urethane or possibly the wiper cowl panel. But the panel looks like it's sitting properly

There is a TSB for the windshield locator tab contacting the windshield on the passenger side. It’s a simple matter of bending the locator away from the glass with a plastic trim tool. Do a search.
