When I start up my Tundra in the Garage the dash lighting is beautiful. Lit up bright, colorful and easy to read. When I get into sunlight the lighting changes and for the life of me I can’t read the dash button choices. I actually have a small flash light I use to see what function the buttons perform.

Does anyone know how to keep the dash lighted all the time?

Might be a settings in the head unit?

    Or turn your lights on

Thanks for your comment. I’ve tried turning on the headlights during the day, but the truck ‘knows’ it is daytime and doesn’t light up the dash. I was looking for some kind of work around.

Is there a small "sensor dome" mid center on your dash? If so try covering it up with a cloth to test. If that works put some black vinyl over it so the truck thinks you only drive at night.
