While disassembling the dash to do the wiring for the NSV Light bar, I noticed a black sheathed wire with 2 pin connector hanging down just under the brake controller. The only thing on that side of the dash is a push button, which was connected to its plug. It appears to be an unused part of the harness as it was folded in half and appears to be resting behind the lower cover. I should of took a pic when I had it apart. The reason I ask is the truck beeped at me this morning while passing over a couple speed bumps, but i didn't see any icon appear on the dash.

I believe THAT harness would be for the factory Brake Controller...do not use that to tie in the NSV bar...use the power/ground wires near where the NSV switches would be splicing into...

No I did not use it for the NSV install just noticed the plug hanging there, I convinced myself it was an unused portion of the harness, but now I wonder if it somehow came off the controller or possibly one of the switches above it (Tow/Haul etc...)

I remember a topic on a similar wire hanging from under the dash and someone said it was for the factory glass breakage detector. Not sure if its the same as the one in that thread, that one had a pic though if you can find it.

I looked, I believe that's the unused connector behind the console switch plate, mine was lower right dash area, under the brake controller, wondering if I snagged something off one of the buttons while pulling harness thru, I'll pull it apart and take a pic if I don't figure it out.

If I remember correctly that connector is for the Parking Sensors switch.

Tow haul, traction control, and trailer gain buttons seem to work

Parking sensor switch makes sense, don't have one.
