In the market for a camera for the '21 but don't need or want any wifi or cloud features. Important to me is video of Walmart non drivers bouncing off our Tundra so days of battery backup isn't required.

Some years ago I picked up a lipoly battery for recharging the cell phone and initial testing is showing that it may work just fine for my needs. When parked where I want coverage I will power the camera from the pack directly and charge the pack from the USB port in the truck once I return. For normal use I will just move the camera power to the truck port. Since buried lipo packs aren't my thing it will be stashed in the pocket on the right side of the console. It isn't going to be seamless by any means but since I'm usually within a few yards of the truck I can't see spending big bucks for something I may use once or twice a month.
Anyone else tried this route for backup battery?
