Anyone have an issue with cruise control not canceling when pressing the brake? Mine just keeps going and fights the brake. Any idea of what this could be? Truck is brand new with 500 miles on it

Alright disregard. I just tried again and it worked this time . I'm realizing that I need to hit the brake much harder than my previous truck. I feel like an idiot

I usually try to cancel my cruise with the stalk instead of giving the impatient tailgater behind me grief.

I had a moment with that the first time using the brakes to cancel. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to not have the stalk controls .. always used that to cancel.

I think the issue is the amount of pressure it takes before activating the brake lights. Which is obviously what cancels cruise control as well.

I've noticed while backing into the garage, it takes a considerable amount of travel before my brake lights illuminate on the wall.

Probably due to the engine off/on function…
